Another major ProHelp activity is the Preston ProHelp Awards / Headstart event, which was established to enable organisations in the voluntary sector to consult the experts on a range of key issues affecting their organisation. The scheme brings community groups with similar problems together in a workshop format, so that professional staff can provide help to several organisations at the same time. Projects can also be followed up separately after the event with further support and more detailed advice and guidance by professional staff. Clinic sessions covering specific areas of interest have also been held. Any professional firms in the local area who are interested in supporting ProHelp may obtain more information by visiting the ProHelp website or by contacting the local ProHelp manager, on 01772 887013.
